How we help
Practical help, offered with dignity
We help people find the right qualified help—we don't replace it.
Legal-resource navigation
We help people understand which kinds of organizations may be able to help—public defenders, legal aid, clinics, or prisoner-rights groups—and how to reach them.
Referrals
When possible, we connect people with pro bono attorneys and legal-aid organizations in our network who may be able to review their situation.
Advocacy support
We help organize information, timelines, and documents so a person's needs can be clearly communicated to those who can help.
Communication support
We help with letters, postage, and relaying information to family, advocates, or resource organizations.
Reentry-resource connections
We help people preparing for release find housing, identification, employment, transportation, and community support.
Please note
Support depends on volunteer and partner availability, location, and each person's needs.
